National Aerospace Propulsion Conference (NAPC)-2018
The National Aerospace Propulsion Conference (NAPC) is a national conference with focus on aerospace propulsion technologies. The conference is an amalgamation of the erstwhile conducted National Propulsion Conference (NPC) and National Conference on Air-Breathing Engines (NCABE) conferences. NCABE serves as the Indian complement for the International Conference on Air Breathing Engines (by ISABE). This conference is intended to bring together the entire propulsion community spanning air-breathing and non-air-breathing propulsion. The conference will be an ideal opportunity to showcase one′s research activities with peers and also foster future collaborations through networking.
The first National Aerospace Propulsion Conference (NAPC-2017) was organized by Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. The second NAPC (NAPC-2018) is being organized by Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

About NCABE, ISABE & IIT Kharagpur
NCABE: The National Committee on Air breathing Engines was founded in 1992 as a trust to provide a forum and stimulus to the R&D activities in the field of aerospace propulsion in the country. The first National Conference, NCABE was held in Bangalore in 1992 and since then NCABE has been a well-attended major technical event held at different aero- space institutions across the country. NCABE serves as the Indian complement for the International Conference on Air Breathing Engines (ISABE).
ISABE: The International Society for Air Breathing Engines (ISABE) is an organization that was formed to further the free exchange, on an international level, of knowledge in the field of air-breathing propulsion for flight vehicles. ISABE has national representatives from more than 25 nations and holds events on six continents.
IIT Kharagpur: The campus is located in the city of Kharagpur in an idyllic and green environment. I.I.T. Kharagpur is the oldest amongst all I.I.T.s and the campus is spread over a large area. Kharagpur is well connected to all major cities in India by road and rail. The International Airport at Kolkata is about 130 km away. Kharagpur and Kolkata are well connected and the total journey takes about two and a half hours. All basic facilities like hospital, medicine stores, banks, post and telegraph offices, internet, telecom centres with ISD/STD/FAX, grocery stores, food stalls/canteens, swimming pools, lawn tennis courts, etc. are available within the Institute campus. The State Bank of India located within the campus provides foreign exchange facilities. The climate during December is dry and moderately cool. The temperature ranges between 8-15⁰C.
